The starting base pay is $18.00 per hour. However, salary is commensurate with experience.
The duties include but are not limited to the following summary: Under remote supervision, persons in this role will be responsible for the location and marking of Clinton Newberry Natural Gas Authority’s underground natural gas lines and facilities. Performs various other duties as assigned to help maintain efficient agency operations. Reports to the Underground Operations Supervisor.
· Reviews, prioritizes, and closes daily work orders and establishes daily schedules and routes.
· Accurately locates and marks CNNGA underground gas lines and facilities.
· Supports company initiatives to maintain compliance with State 811 requirements.
· Supports, interacts, and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the supervisor, coworkers, customers, contractors, and other utility system personnel
· Verifies location of facilities and reports discrepancies on map to appropriate personnel.
· Adheres to and enforces applicable safety standards.
· Supports G.I.S. functions and company mapping needs as required.
· Receives and responds to inquiries and requests from customers.
· Is on call for after-hours and weekend emergencies according to schedule.
· Assists co-workers in other areas and departments, as necessary.
· Operates a company vehicles and equipment, tablet and or computer as required to complete work orders and an ability to communicate via email to perform other job-related tasks.
· Maintain leak repair, pipeline maintenance application, and emergency response
· Daily maintenance on assigned vehicles.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Assists in maintaining a neat and clean workplace.
All applicants must possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License, pass a Federal Department of Transportation substance abuse test, and must be 18 years of age or older.
II. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications:
· Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
· 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
· Must possess and maintain a valid state of South Carolina driver's license.
· Must pass and maintain pertinent Operator Qualifications test(s) and certification(s) for covered tasks, as necessary.
· Must have computer experience utilizing Microsoft applications and email.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Desired Qualifications:
· Associate degree in a related Technical Field
· 5 years’ experience in a natural gas operations or other equivalent areas
· 2 years’ experience in locating facilities.
Physical Requirements:
· Work is minimally strenuous but may require exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, with assistance, to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body; will involve walking or standing for extended periods of time.
· Must be available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and out-town, as needed.
· Must be available for required job related training in and out of town, as needed.
