Graduated from an accredited school of practical nursing and possess related experience. Is licensed as a Practical Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
Sign-On Bonus Available: A $3,000.00 bonus will be issued at the SC Department of Disabilities and Special Needs for Licensed Practical Nurse II (EA15) and Registered Nurse II (EA30) new hires as critical needs in accordance with Section 117.65 of the 2018-2019 Appropriations Act. The bonus will be distributed after one, six and twelve months of successful continuous Full-Time employment.

About Whitten Regional Center
Whitten Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Clinton, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This position provides daily nursing care, training, activities and treatment to the people who live at the Regional Centers according to all licensing and Certification requirements, the South Carolina Nursing Practice Act, and South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs Policies and Procedures.
Under the supervision of a RN, provides nursing care, treatment, and training of all assigned in accordance with the South Carolina Nurse Practice Act and SCDDSN Policies and Procedures. Administer route oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications as well as treatments in accordance with nursing protocol, facility policies, and procedures.
Monitors health conditions of the individual and reports findings to medical provider and appropriated staff. Assist physician/practitioner with examinations and treatments as needed.
Maintains a safe and sanitary living and working environment.
Assures accountability and protection from harm for all individuals are appropriate and thorough documentation.
Review Monthly MAR and 90-day recertification orders, completes healthcare Records, AIMS/DISCUS, swallowing and SAOM Evaluations; Assistant with weights and heights as ordered and indicated by policy and procedures; assure proper documentation.
Performs and participates in activities as otherwise assigned by the supervisor to include, but not limited, to participation in on-call rotation procedure.
