This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Description:

The Greenwood Genetic Center (GGC) has an immediate opening for a fulltime Maintenance Assistant. This position will be located on the Greenwood campus and will involve occasional day trips to the GGC’s Greenville and Columbia satellite offices.

The successful candidate will assist maintenance staff with the installation and maintenance of facility equipment, read and interpret equipment manuals, perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry functions, comply with safety regulations, and use a variety of hand and power tools. The applicant may be asked to assist in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

 

Schedule:
The Center's normal operating hours are M-F, 8:00am-5:00pm
