Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college in building and grounds maintenance.
Requires one year of experience in landscaping and facilities maintenance OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Essential Functions:
Works with and supervises assigned crew each day.
Accomplishes routine grounds keeping duties, cuts grass, trims trees and hedges and installs landscaping materials.
Ensures adequate inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Ensures proper and safe working condition of equipment and vehicles.
Additional Duties:
Reviews the work of subordinates for completeness and accuracy.
Offers advice and assistance as needed.
Sets up facilities for special events, marks and stages areas for athletic events.
Performs related work as assigned.
