You will need to have a bachelor?s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical); must be able to travel as necessary (up to 10%) to effectively interface with customers and other required contacts, to work at various outside/inside site locations, and to manage or participate in company-related projects, activities, or other job-related assignments; one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment leading process improvement projects. Candidates must also be eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without visa sponsorship.
This position provides a broad range of professional engineering support to manufacturing operations and plant facility maintenance; provide lead project responsibility for the execution of complex projects and project assignments within the manufacturing and engineering functions; develop more complex engineering and process control documentation for manufacturing needs; provide coordination and technical guidance to production personnel as appropriate. You will specify, design, quote, install, debug, and maintain equipment for use in manufacturing; train factory operators in the use of equipment, tooling and procedures; develop and implement improvements to manufacturing and its procedures and processes through improved layout and material handling procedures; develop and implement safety, health, ergonomic, and environmental improvements within the manufacturing facility per Eaton?s MESH policy and guidelines; assist those responsible within the facility with the compliance of governmental regulations such as OSHA and the EPA; plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility; use SPC and other techniques to improve product quality and to troubleshoot equipment; oversee repairs or modifications as required; assist factory personnel in their efforts to improve their operations; serve as a representative of the company in membership on industry committees, task forces, and other professional industry groups and technical affiliations; perform other related activities and special projects as assigned.
