Requirements:

A 10th grade education and six (6) months of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class A Commercial Driver? License (CDL). Note: This position requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver? License. However, applicants without a Class A Commercial Driver? License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class A Commercial Driver? License are available. Class A Commercial Driver? License must be attained within six (6) of placement in the position.
May be required to work overtime, nighttime, and/or weekends during hazardous
weather or emergencies.

Job Description:

Train to perform preventive maintenance services on equipment. Train with upper level
mechanics in checking, servicing, and helping to make necessary repairs to equipment. Assist mechanics by laying out tools, equipment, and materials needed to
perform repairs and preventive maintenance. Complete daily time sheets. Clean work area,clean tools and store properly when not in use, clean up oil spots, and ensure shop is properly maintained to meet compliance with OSHA and DHEC regulations. Assist
mechanics on road calls to train in the service or repair of vehicles and equipment. Perform other related duties as directed by supervisor. Assist shop operations during emergencies and hazardous weather conditions.

Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ Full-Time
