Wages/Salary: $25,627.00 - $47,413.00 Annually
A 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of work experience that involved the
independent performance of job duties directly related to the area of employment; or an
approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class A Commercial Driver?s License (CDL). Note: This position requires a valid Class A
Commercial Driver?s License. However, applicants without a Class A Commercial Driver?s License
will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class A Commercial Driver?s License are
available. Class A Commercial Driver?s License must be attained within six (6) months
of placement in the position.
May be required to work overtime, nighttime, and/or weekends during hazardous
weather or emergencies.
Performs moderate to difficult repairs on state owned equipment and vehicles assigned to
Richland Maintenance. Performs maintenance and repairs to heavy equipment such as motor
graders, bulldozers, athey loaders, barber green paving machine, excavator, lee-boy paving
machines, backhoes, and front-end loaders. Diagnoses and repairs large and small gas and
diesel engines used in heavy equipment. Repairs manual and hydrostatic drive lines and
transmissions on heavy equipment. Performs maintenance and repairs on slope mowers and
hydro axe mowers. Responds to emergency service calls on equipment. Documents work
performed by completing mechanic job sheets. Performs other related duties as required by
immediate supervisor.
