Middle & High School In Home Tutor

• Responsible for instructional tutoring of elementary, middle, and/or high school students in multiple subjects in an online virtual classroom

• Keeps detailed records of sessions and topics covered and turn in all required records on time

• Implements instructional activities and provides a positive environment that contributes to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences

• Identifies, selects, creates, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs

• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, teachers, and team members on a regular basis

• Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment for students by participating in activities including, but not limited to, the following: team meetings and staff development

• Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community

• Ensures that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification

• Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with students as measured by AST tutoring survey results

• Assumes responsibility for knowing the curriculum of his/her course that is being tutored
