o Bachelor?s degree in engineering field
o Industrial experience in manufacturing environment prefered
o Technical understanding of plating processes, chemistry interactions, works with suppliers, and environmental services.
o Position requires a "can do" approach to problem solving and leadership
o Position interacts with plant level through Officer level personnel as well as with Customers.
o Ability to manage several projects at any given time.
o Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
o Provide operational and technical leadership for a $7MM Plating business unit
o Use department production, quality and on-time delivery data to make key decisions about how resources can be allocated for ongoing improvement.
o Maintain 6S Strategy for entire business unit.
o Assist in the training of hourly work force on new equipment, changes in process or workflow, safety practices, and improved methods.
o Assists the Department manager in setting the Capital Budget and Operational Budget for business unit by identifying technology, processes, and equipment required to guarantee success.
o Work with Maintenance personnel to maximize equipment efficiency, supervise preventive maintenance and keep all equipment safely operational.
o Designs flow of materials through department to maximize efficiencies
o Develops, recommends, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
o Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop and safety.
o Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
o Responsible for complying with all required documentation relating to QS/ISO 9000.
