Previous experience as a Quality Engineer required; degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or other related field preferred, other combinations of education and experience may be evaluated.
Experience with Quality Management Systems and testing methodologies.
An understanding of technical documentation and a familiarity with statistical analysis.
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Strong time management skills and an ability self-start; ability to work as part of a team or individually.
Must possess and demonstrate good written and communication skills.
This job may require standing, stooping, and bending up to 50% of the time.
Ability to work in a stationary or seated position up to 50% of the time.
Must be able to work in an environment that is not climate controlled.
Summary of Duties: This position will support the Quality Manager with various activities associated with quality control and quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties: conducting research on quality related issues and reporting findings, managing quality data and generating reports, analyzing data, communicating with customers and vendors, managing special projects, organizing ISO audits, analyzing testing and inspecting products, collecting samples, and maintaining working knowledge of government and industry codes and standards.
Job Specific Duties Include (but are not limited to):
Work with the Quality Manager to set guidelines on what needs to be checked and what the quality standards are.
Work with management to maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes and improvements.
Audit our systems based on ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Determine quality metrics for new manufacturing procedures or processes.
Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions as early as possible.
Inspect product materials and electrical systems for defects and durability.
Identify the root of technical issues and recommend fixes.
Prepare reports on malfunctions and corrective actions.
Review current blueprints and quality documentation.
Set and track quality assurance goals.
Coordinate with external quality assurance auditors and technicians to ensure legal compliance.
Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products.
Work with the Quality Manager to lead and/or mentor other department team members.
