A bachelor's degree; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Experience with State and Federal rules and regulations pertaining to real estate conveyances,contracts and eminent domain laws.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Real estate knowledge of terms including deeds, easements, restrictive covenants, zoning, etc.
Real estate experience/knowledge.
Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Access and Excel.
Assists in managing state-wide property management program to determine Department's
actions in retaining or disposing of surplus properties. Communicates with property owners, realtors, attorneys and engineers. Researches deeds, appraisals and correspondence files.Interprets road plans and appraisal reports. Locates plans and identifies properties, prepares circulation memos and draft of quitclaims. Assists staff with advertising for sealed bids, maintenance and indexing of properties; closing of files after sales; depositing monies received; and preparation of Commission reports. Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing.
