Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN & Registered Nurse, RN
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registration license with the state Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year of long term or geriatric care experience
- Knowledge of RAI (Resident Assessment Instrument) and the Care Plan Process
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
- Ability to follow the appropriate safety precautions
- Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of management and employees
- Maintain current CPR certification
- Ability to stay focused, professional and calm under pressure
Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN & Registered Nurse, RN
- Work under the direction of Physicians
- Provide care & treatment in accordance with Physician orders.
- Ensure the health, comfort and safety of patients according to facility guidelines.
- Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures.
- Perform all other duties as needed.
