Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.
High level of experience in assembly/machining area; successful completion of Robert Bosch setup training or completion of apprentice shop; or equivalent experience.
Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency.
Must be capable of operating and troubleshooting machines and equipment.
Demonstrates proficiency in SPC & Blueprint reading
Interpreting test specifications, parts list, process sheets, etc.

Job Description:

Performs and maintains complete set-up on all assigned equipment. Troubleshoots problems and performs all mechanical maintenance functions on the equipment which includes repairs, PM's, modifications, etc. Demonstrates self initiative and utilizes CIP concepts to improve quality, effectivity, and meet the production schedule. Applies cost consciousness in all actions. Organizes the work, minimizes the work in process, gives work guidance and trains associates under the instruction and delegation of the supervisor.
Reduces scrap and rework rates.
Monitors operations, audits parts, and when required performs adjustments necessary to maintain proper setup and to ensure quality production.
Initiates corrective actions if SPC data shows "out-of-control" conditions.
Maintains quality statistics and defect reports.
Instructs associates in the proper use and care of machines, tools, and measuring instruments.
Instructs associates as to the correct operational sequences and procedures to follow and monitors the work performed to ensure quality and timely production and suggests necessary actions for improvements.
Recommends improvements to supervisor to obtain optimum use of individual skills and abilities to assure the most effective utilization of the group and production of quality work pieces.
Promotes associates' ideas and suggestions towards the improvement of quality and effectivity.
Works from blueprints, process sheets, or verbal instructions.
Performs changeovers and setup on machines, fixtures and measurement devices.
Reduces setup time and general downtimes.
Improves the production output and the utilization of equipment.
Performs periodic equipment checks and takes preventative measures to assure the most effective utilization.
Controls parts flow and monitors production quantities.
Analyzes equipment/machine problems, performs repairs, or initiates corrective actions if beyond scope of experience.
Replaces defective parts such as gears, clutches, bushings, shafts, bearings, solenoids, valves, pumps, direction controls, etc.
Operates a variety of machine tools to fabricate replacement parts, using drawings or old parts to obtain dimensional requirements.
Modifies existing machine tools.
Assure availability of critical spare parts in the work area.
Applies cost consciousness in order to reduce labor costs, consumables, in process inventory, etc.
Maintains safe working conditions.
Maintains proper housekeeping.
Performs additional assignments as directed.
