Eligibility:
·Current enrollment in an accredited RN Nursing Program (Dec 2010 and May 2011 Graduates only)
·Successful completion of Fundamentals and a medical-surgical clinical course prior to start of Extern Program in May 2010.
·GPA of 2.5 or higher
·Application, resume and cover letter stating reasons candidate believes he/she should be selected for the position.
This exciting 10-week extern program is designed to provide a learning environment that fosters the development of a student’s nursing skills, enhancing future success in the nursing profession. The program starts the end of May and lasts through the beginning of August. Unit and shift preferences will be discussed in the interview process. Externs work 24 – 36 hours per week, while earning a competitive salary.
