A high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communication systems design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment. Advanced level Windows server systems administration, knowledge of Active Directory, remote support tools, router, firewall and other associated IP network technologies required. Cisco network hardware including AP installation, configuration and troubleshooting would be beneficial. End-user support emphasized, good customer relations via phone or in person required. Workplace contains high voltage electronic equipment. Must be generally available 24 hours a day, seven days a week if needed for emergencies. Required to carry a cell phone. Must be able to respond to emergency calls within a short time period. Job requires a certain amount of travel which may include some nights.

Under general supervision, ensure the stability and operability of Windows based server operating systems through-out the state of South Carolina. The Systems Administrator role is to strategically design, integrate and manage in-house information systems and network software architecture that support core organizational functions, and assure their high availability. Maintain through system
administration via console and remote, Window based servers on Wide area networks (WANs) in support of IP MEDIA DISTRIBUTION systems at locations across the state of South Carolina.Assist with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links in relation to ETV's IP Initiative hardware and software components. Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide assistance/ training to local IT support personnel in each school district where work is performed. End-user support-desktop support. Answer phone support related
to the operation of DES through the state. Provide documentation of all technical issues and resolutions.
