Qualifications/ Education:

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System

Administration, a closely related field, or equivalent industry experience

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of network administration, system administration and cyber security related experience
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.
  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of firewalls, various forms of endpoint security and security tools (e.g. Defender ATP, CloudApp Security, Intune device management solution, SentinelOne, Darktrace)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Cyber Security trends and hacker tactics
  • System administration and IT certifications in Linux, Microsoft, or other network-related fields is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure
  • Ability to travel internationally and domestically and obtain/maintain US Passport.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, security and reliable operation of our computer systems and network infrastructure. They will troubleshoot hardware and software issues by running diagnostics, documenting problems/resolutions, prioritizing tasks, and assessing the impact of issues.

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and secure operation of the organization’s computer systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing upgrades of IT infrastructure
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
  • Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and internal IT performance
