MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An associate degree within the industrial maintenance field or have an associate degree in a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
State-of-the-art knowledge in electro-mechanical field to include PLCs. Ability to work with colleagues-students, convey knowledge in-a-form students can understand, and be able to adapt teaching techniques to student needs-various instructional setting. Ability to work independently as well as within a group and be able to motivate students. Willingness to teach at all campus-off campus sites.
In this challenging role, you will support the Mechatronics department at Greenville Technical College. Duties may include any or all of the following:
Develop and teach Industrial Maintenance and Electrical curricula courses
Demonstrate lab techniques involved and provide assistance to students in the performance of curriculum-based student labs
Provide-apply safe work habits-practices and rules in all IMT lab areas
Assist in curriculum development and revision
Prepare and present material at a pace that will foster student understanding and will, at the same time, permit coverage of vital concepts
Participate in recruitment of students, and academically advise students
Maintain competence through continuous professional development
Meet deadlines for record keeping and maintain scheduled office hours
Follow guidelines set forth in the part time faculty manual
Perform other tasks independently as needed
