Qualified candidate will have:
At least an Associates Degree in applicable field
At least 4 years experience applying mechanical skills
Machine shop experience is preferred and must be able to demonstrate a good mechanical aptitude
Must be able to interpret technical drawings and have basic technical writing skills for reporting, and ability to read blue prints
Prior work experience with instrumentation, transducers, and overall mechanical and electrical knowledge
Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment is essential
Prior working knowledge of machining
Working knowledge and experience with MS Office is required

Schaeffler is seeking a Test Technician to support our Testing Lab in Fort Mill, SC. This position is responsible for setting up and performing tests according to test procedures, test requests and work instructions. Test Technician will monitor tests and record data, prepare test samples for evaluation, evaluate and document test results. In addition, candidate will perform basic investigations and perform preventative and predictive maintenance on equipment. Test Technician will do all the necessary mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work to build and maintain all test fixtures and lab equipment including updates and changes
