Tool and Die Support

MM Technics LP is German based, tier one supplier to the automotive OEM’s in South Carolina. The Prosperity plant joins a corporate family that has manufacturing operations in Germany and Poland.  MM Technics is looking to hire a qualified candidate in the tool and die making field.

Position Snapshot:  This position will be responsible for the maintenance of mechanical and servo presses used in the manufacture automotive OEM metal products. In this hands-on position, the qualified candidate will clean, repair and maintain stamping tools to ensure production of quality products.   

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, clean and repair all stamping dies
• Perform maintenance on mechanical and servo presses
• Verify dimensions, alignments and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers and dial indicators.
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair or modify dies, jigs, gauges and tools, using machine or hand tools.

Requirements:

• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing progressive and transfer stamping dies.
• Understand blue prints and technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC equipment, surface grinder, lathe, milling machine, wire EDM
• Formal training with CAD and stamping dies
• Knowledge of metric system
• Ability to learn, continuously improve and take direction from management
• Comfortable using computers and learning new software
• High School/ GED graduate

• Adhere to all facility safety and environmental rules
• Other duties as assigned by plant management.
