Requirements:

A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with the State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class B Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a Commercial Driver's License. However, qualified applicants with a Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Trains in operation of mowing tractors. Uses weed eater to clear around signs. Trains in the operation of dump truck hauling materials including dirt, aggregate, premix, and debris. Performs other varied maintenance work including lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods of time. Trains in operation of a standard dump truck with snowplow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges. Performs manual labor as necessary in maintaining the grounds of SCDOT facilities, including the installation and maintenance of landscaping. Picks up litter and debris from right-of-way.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ Full-Time
