A valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid
Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position.
However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if
no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.
Performs vegetation management, drainage issue correction, pothole patching, guardrail repair,litter pickup, and other required duties relating to maintenance of Interstate 26 in Newberry
County. Assists with installation of driveways, drainage issue correction, pothole patching, and
other related duties as required on other State-maintained roads in Newberry County. Trains to
operate 5 yard dump truck hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. Performs
other related duties as required for normal daily operations including, assisting with workzone
setup and take down, follow vehicle driving, small power tool operation, tree removal, etc.
Performs other related duties as required for stand-by crew rotation, emergencies, snow-ice,
and equipment operation including plow, loader, or spreader requiring right-of-way debris
removal.
