Wages/Salary: The state salary range is from $17,310.00 to $32,027.00, annually. The agency hiring minimum range is 21,519.00 and the maximum is 32,027.00.

Requirements:

You will need to have a 10th grade edducation; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations; a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if
no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.

Job Description:

You will be trained to operate tandem ten-wheel dump truck, 5 yard standard dump truck, and flatbed truck for hauling materials including asphalt, limestone, dirt, soil, cement, pipe, construction materials and debris; perform duties using manual labor, in maintenance tasks as clearing of right-of-ways, cleaning drainage ditches, repairing shoulders, patching potholes, making base repairs, repairing to bridges, paving driveways, and laying sideline/cross line pipes; removes litter, debris and dead animals from roadway and rights-of-way; flag traffic during road repairs to control flow of traffic to protect workers, general public and equipment; operate chain saw in cutting trees on right-of-way; train to operate standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges; perform other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor; conduct and document preoperation vehicle/equipment inspection.
