A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However,applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.
Trains to operate combination tractor mowers (sickle/rotary) in cutting right-of-ways and shoulders. Trains in the operation of slope mowers used in cutting right-of-ways or limb trimming operations. Performs various assignments using hand labor including cutting dead trees with chain saw, straightening signs and removing debris from right-of-ways. Performs other related job duties as requested or assigned by supervisor. Operates standard dump truck with snow plow attachment and sand spreader to remove snow and ice from highways and bridges once training is complete.
