Requirements:

A 10th grade education; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations.
A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License (CDL). (NOTE): This position requires a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Performs manual labor in concrete and asphalt driveway installations, pipe installation and repairs, ditching and base repairs on SCDOT right-of-ways; assists in the replacement or repair to steel guardrail. Trains to operate 5 yard dump truck hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. Performs other related duties as required for normal daily operations including flagging, work zone setup and take down, follow vehicle driving, small power tool operation,and tree removal. Performs other related duties as required for stand-by crew rotation,emergencies, snow and ice, and trains in equipment operation including plow, loader, or spreader, requiring right-of-way debris removal. Trains in the operation of medium duty
equipment including bucket truck, vacuum truck, tack truck, steel and pneumatic rollers.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)/ Full-Time
