Requirements:

A 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Operates combination front-end loader and backhoe to clean out drainage ditches and to install sideline and cross line pipe. Operates heavy duty excavator in cleaning side ditches, trenching for pipeline, laying pipe and loading trucks with filled material. Operates large motor graders in ditching, shoulder operations, grading and machining roads, driveway installation or snow and ice
removal. Sets up traffic control according to SCMUTCD standards to warn motorist of road work ahead. Operates tandem dump truck in hauling maintenance and construction materials such as concrete pipes, asphalt, dirt, coquina. Conducts and documents pre-trip equipment/vehicle inspection in accordance with the Department's most current rules, policies and procedures for
fleet safety. Performs other related duties as directed by supervisors/RME.

Full-Time Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
