Requirements:

A 10th grade education and three and one-half (3.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations. A valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License. (NOTE): This position requires a valid Class "A" Commercial Driver's License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class "A" Commercial Driver's License are available.

Job Description:

Serves as lead worker and operates boom mowers, slope mowers (with mowing head and buzz bar), and bat wing mowers in roadside and right-of-way clearing operations. Performs services and minor repairs to equipment. Serves as assistant to crew supervisor for mowing crew, assumes responsibilities in their absence and reports to Resident Maintenance Foreman. Assists with instructing crew members daily in the practice of other related duties as required for normal operations including flagging, workzone setup and take down, follow vehicle driving, small power tool operation, and proper PPE usage. Trains in assisting Foreman with utilizing
HMMS program; gathering and entering data for daily work reports, employee work time,
acreage and mileage, and ensuring accuracy for daily equipment checklist. Operates 5 yard and tandem dump trucks hauling equipment and materials to and from job sites. Performs other related duties as required for stand-by crew rotation, emergencies, snow and ice removal, and equipment operation requiring right-of-way debris removal.

Schedule:
FTE - Full-Time, Monday - Friday (8:30 - 5:00)
