Wages/Salary: The state salary range is from $25,627.00 to $47,413.00 Annually. The agency minimum hiring range is 30,138.00 and the maximum is 47,713.00.

Requirements:

You will need a high school diploma and four and one-half (4.5) years of related trades experience; or an approved acceptable equivalence in accordance with State Human Resources Regulations; a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License. This position requires a valid Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License within six (6) months of placement in the position. However, applicants without a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License will be considered if no qualified applicants with a Class ?A? Commercial Driver?s License are available.

Job Description:

You will supervise a crew of subordinates performing complex ditching operations using motorgraders, backhoes, and various specialized equipment; daily contact with the public and property owners; maintain proper traffic control during these operations; perform patching, cutting trees, and cleaning around bridges as directed by supervisor; execute ditching plan in accordance with policy and goals; maintains all applicable reports including entering time and data in HMMS, and reports to RMF or RME as required. On rotation stand-by one week out of seven. You will supervise crew on snow and ice removal or during emergencies; supervise a crew removing trees and debris from roadways during inclement weather; train subordinates in the operation of motorgrader and other motorized equipment used in making roadway and roadside repairs; perform related duties as required. Evaluates employees yearly according to Employee Performance Management System. Initiates employee disciplinary action as necessary.

You will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00.
