Wages/Salary: $24,635.00 - $45,578.00 annually
High school diploma and experience as a radio/television technician or in the repair and maintenance of electronic broadcasting equipment. An associate degree in a related area may substitute for required experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
An Associate degree and one year experience in the repair and maintenance of TV production, routing and distribution equipment. Knowledge of linear and rotary mechanics, and skill in utilizing test equipment.
May be required to lift and/or move heavy equipment. Work place contains high voltage electronic equipment and large electronic motors and electrical equipment. Some travel required.
Proficiently installs, maintains, and repairs portions of television equipment which utilizes, simple to moderately complex, low, high, and very high frequency digital and analogue electronic techniques; and moderately complex linear and rotary mechanical technologies. Diagnose and correct malfunctioning of simple to moderately complex electronic portions of computer controlled analog/digital and or video routing, production switchers or edit system, CPU controlled field or studio 3CCD camera systems, tape less video/audio storage units, CPU and non CPU controlled audio switchers. Assist higher level technicians with the construction, installation and maintenance of facilities. Serve as technician in charge for studio, remote and postproduction activities.
