Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires High School graduation or GED equivalent supplemented by specialized courses/training equivalent to completion of one year of college in counseling or social services.
Requires two years of experience in the court system to prepare victims and witnesses OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Essential Functions:
Oversees the daily activities of the Domestic Violence Advocate and volunteers.
Sends letters to victims to notify them of these services.
Provides emotional help and crisis counseling.
Escorts victims to court.
Coordinates services for victims and schedules their appointments.
Additional Duties:
Submits necessary forms to family and magistrate court.
Transports victims to court and/or related appointments.
Enters computer data to record and retrieve client case and program information.
Prepares correspondence and reports.
Performs related work as assigned.
