Job Description:

1. Chief responsibility is to ensure that the receiving/warehousing process is carried out according to the goals set by the logistics supervisor. 2. Work safely and efficiently to complete all tasks related to successfully receive and store all four finished goods products, raw materials, and components. 3. Effectively communicate productivity, necessary maintenance items, and safety issues to logistics supervisor. 4. Maintain customer service levels outlined by sales force.
General Responsibilities:
Safety: Understand and practice all plant safety rules and guidelines.
5. Make sure all plant safety guidelines, procedures and policies are followed
6. Reinforce safety practices on a daily basis
7. Ensure appropriate PPE is used to perform their jobs safely and effectively
8. Notify the logistics supervisor, Director of Logistics and Distribution, and EHS manager in the event of a safety incident
9. Participate in incident investigations as necessary
Receiving/Warehousing responsibilities: Responsible for assisting the process of receiving/warehousing of raw materials and components.
10. Engage in daily receiving/warehousing operations and communicate problems, (i.e. material shortages, equipment malfunctions, etc.) such that loss of receiving/warehousing capacity is minimized and receiving/warehousing objectives are achieved.
11. Notify logistics supervisor of maintenance work on equipment needing to be done
12. Ensure operating supplies and materials required for receiving/warehousing are obtained.
13. Responsible for ensuring safety, environmental, quality and materials management procedures are followed on a daily basis
14. Ensure receiving/warehousing goals and objectives are met on a daily basis.
15. Practice proper inventory control procedures at all times
16. Assist with material transfers between multiple warehouses
17. Perform receiving/warehouse responsibilities at other offsite warehouses
18. Participate in daily start up briefs and post shipping/receiving/warehousing debriefs
Housekeeping: Responsible to see that plant housekeeping practices are followed
19. Reinforce housekeeping practices on a daily basis
20. Ensure a complete housekeeping is done at the end of every shift
21. Organize and maintain the pallet area of the rear yard at the main plant
22. Coordinate warehouse housekeeping efforts for all internal/external audits
Recordkeeping:
23. Ensure accurate receiving/warehousing records are kept on a daily basis
Ensure FIFO for all components and finished goods
