BC, Wizard of Id Cartoonist Mastroianni to Deliver Artist Lecture at PTC

Back by popular demand, B.C. and Wizard of Id cartoonist Mason Mastroianni is the April presenter in the Piedmont Technical College (PTC) Visiting Artist Lecture Series. He will be on campus Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 3:30 in Room 102 of the Self Conference Center in Greenwood. 

Mastroianni attended the Rhode Island School of Design as well as The DAVE (Digital Animation and Visual Effects) School in Orlando. After graduation, he took a position as a CG animator at Wet Cement Productions in Minneapolis, earning the company an Emmy award for computer graphic animation. 

His grandfather, the late Johnny Hart, was the creator of comic strips B.C. and The Wizard of Id. After Hart passed away in 2007, Mastroianni returned home to upstate New York to draw, write, and continue his grandfather’s legacy.
