Donors, Recipients Honored with Annual Luncheon
Scholarships were awarded recently at a luncheon honoring donors and recipients.
Two Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Olly Garrison Memorial Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Pictured are, from left, Alicia Holm, a funeral services student from Greenville; scholarship donor Ross Garrison; and Consuela Seigler, a respiratory care student from Abbeville. The scholarship is awarded annually to a returning adult student who is changing careers and maintains a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
Piedmont Technical College student and Ninety Six resident Kaylynn Knight (right) recently received the Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Knight, an associate in arts student, is congratulated by Meredith Daniel, dean of learning resources and Phi Theta Kappa advisor. Supported through the fundraising events of the PTC’s Omega Chi Chapter, the scholarship is awarded annually to active members. Phi Theta Kappa is the international honor society for students of two-year colleges.
Piedmont Technical College student and Prosperity resident Helen Martin (left) recently received the Healing Hands Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Martin, a massage therapy student, is congratulated by Michelle Liggett, massage therapy program coordinator. The scholarship is awarded annually based on academic achievement, leadership ability and financial need to Massage Therapy majors.
Seven Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the PTC Golf Classic Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. The scholarship is awarded annually and is based on academic achievement and financial need.

Awarded annually to a radiologic technology major with at least one semester in clinical, the scholarship is based on academic achievement and financial need.
Three Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Medford Family Foundation Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Pictured are, from left, John Little, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology student from Greenwood; Denise Medford, donor and presenter; Jermiah Williams, an administrative office technology student from Greenwood; and Rachel DiMarco, a business student from Greenwood. This scholarship is available to a student majoring in Nursing, Industrial Technology, Graphic Arts, Business, Massage Therapy or Automotive Technology who exhibits leadership abilities, academic achievement and financial need.
