Ledford Elected to S.C. Campus Law Enforcement Association Board
Terry Ledford, director of Campus Police and Security at Piedmont Technical College, has been elected to serve as part of the executive board for the South Carolina Campus Law Enforcement Association (SCCLEA).
“This is an extremely important organization and I am honored to be asked to serve,” said Ledford.
Ledford was selected to serve as vice president. The SCCLEA is an affiliate of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators. The association is based on the foundation that campus law enforcement is a vital component in the overall educational process. Law enforcement plays a major role in establishing and maintaining the environment in which students are able to learn, succeed, and achieve. To that end, this association is committed to providing safety and security in a friendly atmosphere for the students of higher education.
Ledford has spent the past 10 years as the chief of campus police and security for Piedmont Technical College. Prior to joining the college, he served with the Greenwood City Police for three years and the South Carolina Highway Patrol, where he spent 27 years as a State Trooper.
