Outstanding Students Recognized at Graduation

At Piedmont Technical College’s recent summer commencement exercises, outstanding students from each of the college’s seven supporting counties were honored for academic achievement. 

Abbeville County student Kevin Claussen was honored for maintaining the highest grade point average for his county. He is recognized by PTC area commission member Rufus Sherard, right. Claussen is an industrial electronics technology and mechatronics technology graduate. 

Edgefield County student Henry J. Caines III was honored for maintaining the highest grade point average for his county. He is recognized by PTC area commission vice chair Jane Jenkins Herlong, right. Caines is a welding major.

Greenwood County student Steve Kesler was honored for maintaining the highest grade point average for his county. He was recognized by PTC area commission chairman Y. J. Ahn, right. Kesler is a welding graduate. 

Laurens County student Judy Hunnicutt was honored for maintaining the highest grade point average for her county. She was recognized by PTC area commission member Steve Lamb, right. Hunnicutt is an early childhood education graduate.  

McCormick County student Anthony Quarles was honored for maintaining the highest grade point average for his county. He was recognized by PTC area commission member Cherry Brown, right. Quarles is an industrial electronics technology major. 

Saluda County student Jacqulyne Myers was honored for maintaining the highest grade point average for her county. She was recognized by PTC area commission member William Whitfield, right. Myers is a pharmacy technology graduate.
