Piedmont Tech PBL Attends Leadership Conference, Wins Awards
Four Piedmont Technical College students recently attended the Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference in Charleston. The conference allowed students to compete in leadership events, share their successes, and learn new ideas about shaping the future of their career through workshops and exhibits. PTC representatives were, front from left: Angel Alexander, club advisor; Jacob Holtzclaw of Greenwood; and Menka Brown, club advisor. Back: Dominique Hill of Greenwood; Bridgette Samples of Clinton; Donna Gore of Bradley; and Coronicca Oliver, club advisor. Two of the students took awards during the competition – Gore, who placed second in Website Design, and Samples, who placed second for Computer Concepts. These students will now represent PTC and the state of South Carolina at the FBLA-PBL National Leadership Conference in Chicago in June.
