PTC Center for Advanced Manufacturing Hosts Statewide Training
Piedmont Technical College’s Center for Advanced Manufacturing (CAM) in Laurens recently showcased its new mechatronics lab by hosting training for mechatronics instructors from across the state. Sponsored by the South Carolina Department of Education Office of Career and Technology along with the Piedmont Technical College Mechatronics Department, the training session brought educators from schools and career centers such as Chester County Career Center, Clinton High School, Clover High School, Daniel Morgan Technology Center, Marlboro County High School, Newberry County Career Center, Wade Hampton High School and Wando High School. The new lab and mechatronics classroom were part of the Phase II construction at the CAM and will help offer the full mechatronics associate degree beginning this fall.
