Scholarship Recipients, Donors Honored at Luncheon
Piedmont Technical College recently held its annual Scholarship luncheon. The following recipients were among those honored:
Piedmont Technical College student and Little Mountain resident Erica Ashley was recently awarded the H. Kelley Jones Scholarship at the annual scholarship luncheon. Ashley, a veterinary technology student, is congratulated by Sylvia MacFarlane, veterinary technology program coordinator. Awarded annually, this scholarship is available to a student enrolled in the veterinary technology program approved by the AVMAs.
Piedmont Technical College student and Greenwood resident Marisa Ling (left) was recently awarded the Lena Wood Warren Scholarship. Ling, an associate degree nursing major, is pictured with Lena Warren, former dean of health science at Piedmont Tech.
Two Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Olly Garrison Memorial Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Dianne Scott, a respiratory care student from Ninety Six, is congratulated by scholarship donor Ross Garrison (right). Not pictured is Joel Kingsland, an associate in arts student from Greenwood. The scholarship is awarded annually to a returning adult student who is changing careers and maintains a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
Piedmont Technical College student and Chapin resident Genene Bowers (right) recently received the Johnny L. Moore Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Bowers, a radiologic technology major, is congratulated by Jerry Alewine, (left) dean of health sciences. The scholarship was established in honor of the clinical instructor Johnny Moore who spent more than 30 years in the program. The scholarship is awarded to a senior radiologic technology student with a program GPA of 3.5 and limited practice eligibility.
Piedmont Technical College student and Fountain Inn resident Angela Neal recently received the Healing Hands Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Neal, a massage therapy student, is congratulated by Michelle Liggett, massage therapy program coordinator. The scholarship is awarded annually based on academic achievement, leadership ability and financial need to Massage Therapy majors.
Piedmont Technical College student and automotive technology student Matthew Pollard from Hodges recently received the Automotive Technology Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. The scholarship is awarded annually to an automotive technology student with a GPA of 3.0 or greater and financial need.
