Students, Scholarship Donors Honored at Luncheon

Scholarships were presented to students and donors were recognized at the recent scholarship luncheon.

 

Three Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Aaron Industries Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Pictured are Anthony Holka, a machine tool student from Clinton (left) and Jim Medford, CEO of Aaron Industries, Inc. Not pictured are Justin Cunningham, a welding student from Clinton and Chelsie Smaltz, a business student from Joanna. The scholarship is available to seniors who attend any of the high schools in Laurens County and is based on financial need and academic achievement.

Piedmont Technical College student and Greenwood resident Natale Burton (left) was recently awarded the John W. Drummond Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Burton, an associate degree nursing student, is congratulated by Lisa Toland (right), scholarship committee member. The scholarship is awarded annually and is based on academic achievement, financial need and leadership ability.

 

 

 

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Prosperity resident Aubrey Wise recently received the Lakelands Homebuilders Association of Greenwood Scholarship at the annual scholarship luncheon. Wise, a building construction technology student, is congratulated by John Cobb (left) and Nick Nicholson, (right) LHA representatives. The scholarship is awarded annually to BCT students based on academic achievement.  

 

 

 

 

Two Piedmont Technical College students were recently awarded the Veterinary Technician of Excellence Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. The scholarship is presented to second year veterinary technology students who demonstrate academic excellence, professionalism and participation in community activities.

 

 

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Newberry resident Erika Tinsley (right) was recently awarded the W. A. Klauber Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Tinsley, a radiologic technology student, is congratulated by donor and presenter Bill Klauber. Awarded annually to a radiologic technology major with at least one semester in clinical, the scholarship is based on academic achievement and financial need.   

 

 

 

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Prosperity resident Analee Luke (right) was recently awarded the Loutrelle C. Self Memorial Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Luke, an administrative office technology student, is congratulated by Suzy Murray, scholarship committee member. The award is presented to an AOT major who displays academic achievement, financial need and leadership ability.

 

 

 

 

 

Piedmont Technical College student and Hodges resident Kirstyn Kirkland was recently awarded the Medford Family Foundation Scholarship at the college’s annual scholarship luncheon. Kirkland, an associate degree nursing student, is congratulated by Jim Medford, donor and presenter. This scholarship is available to a student majoring in Nursing, Industrial Technology, Graphic Arts, Business, Massage Therapy or Automotive Technology who exhibits leadership abilities, academic achievement and financial need.
