Required Skills/Abilities:
- Good knowledge and understanding of the general maintenance skills including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general construction, painting and general building repairs
- Must be adept at using a variety of hand and electrical tools and meters.
- Must be able to read blue prints
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Project Management knowledge and skills.
- Ability to understand written directions in manuals and on manufacturer websites.
- Ability to maintain basic records and warranties.
- Basic knowledge related to hazardous material handling.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records.
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s degree preferred but will substitute experience for education
- Certification/license appropriate to one or more of the maintenance trades.
- Experience with oversight of similar type of facilities, equipment, and events preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds at times; push/pull up to 50 pounds at times.
- Must be able to frequently stand, stoop, kneel, climb and balance; crawl at times.
- Must be able to traverse, access and navigate all areas of the facilities.
- Must be able to access all parts of the company equipment.
The Maintenance Manager will provide daily oversight of the maintenance, care, and efficient operation of all facilities used by the Center under the direction of the Center’s Director of Facilities and Safety.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily workflow, scheduling, and assignments of maintenance personnel.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspects and performs maintenance on assigned facilities.
- Ensures assigned facilities are ready for regular business and special events.
- Maintains files of warranties, records, licenses, inspections, service agreements, and contracts for various pieces of equipment and fixed assets throughout the Center.
- Maintains the inventory, storage, and distribution of assigned equipment and fixed assets.
- Provides recommendations for purchases of new equipment.
- Assist with purchasing or supplies, parts and materials
- Hazardous material and waste handling under the direction of Director of Facilities and Safety
- Collaborates with Director of Facilities and Safety to prepare and implement budget.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
