Aaron Wood has agriculture in his blood. The McCormick County native grew up amidst the family’s beef cattle and timber operation. So, it was no surprise that he would enter an agriculture field, which has led him to the horticulture program at Piedmont Technical College.
Tabby Davis is making her mark in the traditionally male-dominated world of engineering. As a lead engineer for Product Applications at Eaton, Davis often finds herself the only woman in the room, providing technical training around the world. But, her journey began in a non-traditional way.
Three Piedmont Technical College instructors have earned the Certified Online Instructor (COI) designation. Samantha Hauptman, Suzy Murray and Tamatha Sells have completed the certification program offered by the Learning Resources Network (LERN) which provides professional development and recognition for instructors of online courses.

Darlene Saxon, a 2009 PTC graduate, had always wanted to be a teacher. Little did she know how she would accomplish that goal, especially since she didn’t attend college right after high school.
