Piedmont Technical College (PTC) will hold an “Instant Admission Day” for the fall semester Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, at the Lex Walters Campus-Greenwood Enrollment Center. Participants can get accepted on the spot and begin moving closer to their career goals. 

PL Developments Team from Clinton Completes Supply Chain Logistics Certification

Members of the PL Developments Warehouse and Logistics team recently completed the SC Supply Chain Logistics Certification Course at Piedmont Technical College’s Economic Development and Continuing Education Division. The 10-week course was offered two nights a week from 5-9 p.m. through a live virtual format. 

Two PTC Nursing Students Receive Self Foundation Scholarships

That the Piedmont Technical College (PTC) Nursing Program serves as a workforce pipeline for longtime business partner Self Regional Healthcare is no secret. Less known, perhaps, is how the Self Regional Healthcare Foundation is supporting PTC nursing students in their educational experience. Two PTC nursing students each recently were named recipients of $1,000 scholarships from the Self Foundation.

Greenwood Promise, PTC Add Personal Mentoring Support for the College-Bound

Making eligible high schoolers and their parents aware of scholarships available through The Greenwood Promise (TGP) and connecting them with those resources is a vital component of the organization’s mission. Piedmont Tech Installs Little Free Library in Newberry

If opening a book is like opening a gift that transports you to other worlds, then opening up a Little Free Library (LFL) box and extracting a book is like a literary gift that gives — on repeat. Piedmont Technical College’s Newberry County Campus in May installed its very own Little Free Library, Charter No. 119919, in front of its facility at 1922 Wilson Road. 

Sprouse Named President-Elect of Pharmacy Technician Educators Council

Clay Sprouse, Med., CPhT, program director and instructor of pharmacy technology at Piedmont Technical College, recently was named president-elect of the Pharmacy Technician Educators Council (PTEC). The PTEC is the only national nonprofit professional association founded by and for pharmacy technician educators.
