The Piedmont Technical College Foundation recently awarded more than $136,000 in scholarships to 173 students at the college's annual scholarship luncheon.
Speakers from Piedmont Technical College (PTC), the Greenwood Partnership Alliance, the South Carolina Technical College System (SCTCS), Upper Savannah Council of Governments, SC Vocational Rehabilitation, Goodwill Industries and ZF Transmissions recently collaborated to present an overview of Youth and Adult Apprenticeship opportunities to a group that included representation from Greenwood County school districts and the business community.
Zeolean Frick Kinard, director of Institutional Reporting at Piedmont Technical College, has been named the 2017 PTC Innovator of the Year by the PTC Area Commission.
Piedmont Technical College is offering an exciting slate of programs for youth this summer. From aviation to photography, there are a wide variety of different, fun and exciting programs. Get hands-on with future agents in training, mechatronics and automotive technology programs or put your imagination and creativity to work through baking, drawing and sewing offerings.
A total of 15 camps and programs are scheduled this summer at Piedmont Technical College for kids ages 7-12. Students can choose from a variety of art, science, career-oriented or self-image improvement camps.
Caleb Boatwright looks like your typical teenager. He’s a soft-spoken guy who has the typical friends that he hangs out with each day. He will graduate in the spring from Greenwood High School. He doesn’t seem to be extraordinary. Until you realize he will also be a 2017 graduate of Piedmont Technical College.
